VCDEasy. (Create your own VCDs on CD-R or CD-RWs).
Create VCDs as required or from CD image files. View film and Create sequences for your DVD/VCD or Viewers '<<Pre' and 'Next>>' buttons. Can define 'Return' and 'Default' keys. Choose computer keys for those sequences. Choose a 'FRAME' for a 'still'. Convert VCD(.DAT files) to MPG and much, much more. You can also load other peoples modules for other formats. Save/Load projects.
It was Freeware, but due to poor donations the author has seen fit to make three versions: Old version 1.5.2 is totally free without Date expiry etc. Latest version with some features disabled (free) and a $15 full commercial version. $15 is 'CHEAP AT THE PRICE' for such a high quality product. Convert MP3/WMA/WAV/OGG files (more to come) to true MPG1 (VCD2.0 format). The long Playing discs will play on most new DVD/VCD players.
Select Single, Tagged or Folder files and then select either same or different folder for creations and just select Convert with this SUPERB PRODUCT !

GREAT ! NOW WITH FILM IN FILM. If you want to add text, effects and all sorts of different things on your movie files, then this is for you. It's a great bit of kit and very simple to use. You can even create your own movies out of JPG, BMP etc. It covers all sorts of input formats and can save MPG1 in Pal, NTSC and film. Latest Version also produces better sound and Video. SIV(System Information Viewer).
Now here is a program that we all need.
A SUPERB FREE system information viewer. Small program size with constantly updated system information file. It shows what your computer system is made from. Chip sets, Memory, Bios, Drives....the list goes on and on. Simple display and selection process, giving easy selections to vairous pages of information. This is also used by some companies for testing of their systems. It's a superb bit of kit. Anyone can use it. A MUST for everyone.

A Superb FREE Utility with additional program to create your own 'skins' etc. This is another 'TOP rated' utility that will assist you to 'keep an eye and Remove' those companies and individuals that mess about with your system. Simple to operate, full functions with 'Advance' user settings all with with great results. Make sure you read the manual first. It's always wise to ensure that you do not remove items that are really needed. Superb! A 'got to have' utility ! I think by far, a better program than Lavasoft's 'Adaware' program!

Script Sentury (Protect from scripts running).
This site has some great FREE utilities, amongst those is Script Sentury. This little stand-alone utility can protect various file extensions from running. It also allows you to examine the file first, run it, mark it as 'safe' and so on. Runs in background. Comes with it's own test VBS script and a uninstaller. GREAT BIT OF KIT and so are the others.

AD-AWARE. (Get rid of pop browser advertisers etc.)
If you have executed software, some may be 'adware', popping up new advertising browser windows on your screen and sending personal information and getting advertising to display. Some programs will install this software without you even being aware of it, despite you selecting not to install them.
Want those Aware Browser windows to get off your system and stop bothering you. Want your information kept as yours. Lavasoft has a FREE program that will assist. Superb!

Mozilla: 'FireFox' is a FREE Browser while 'ThunderBird' is a FREE Email Client.
Two absolutly SUPERB programs with a host of facilities including loading various Skins/Themes and Extensions. Probably the most used today. You must have a look at these. Far to many facilities to list here. I use them as my defaults, and nothing else. You will have to use IE to get Microsoft updates. Having said that, FireFox has a facility for you to call IE and goto the correct webaddress.
We Highly recommended them for your needs. A MUST have !

FREE Software site with lots of nice routines including 'Disk Image Copier' which can be used within Windows to copy the image of your DriveC: to either an image file or to another Hard Drive (D:). Have a good look at all the routines on this site. You'll find something of use here.

A SUPERB little program. It Utilizes the 'One-Time-Pad' Philosophy and probably the only one in use at present (11th October 2001). Setup individual people that are allowed to send you mail which you can be notified when server has it, and create special 'stamps' for them. Without it, they will not be allowed through. A FREE tiny, no installation, good featured program for those on the move. Check mail, Read it, delete it etc, all on your own mail server. No special server required! Very nice indeed!

SPIDER.
Internet Explorer 3/4/5: FREE. When you delete Cached items and other Files, they are still there in other unknown files, including DAT files, waiting to be examined by others. Spider also can remove 'Cookies', Temp files and so on. You will need to edit one 'Windows Registry' entry to make this complete. Very simple to use and does its job well.

SHIELDSUP.
Check you system for 'holes' that allows others to access and cause 'havoc'. CURE the problem with this pure assembler 'tiny' routine. Also allows 'online checking'. Simple to operate and very effective. We suggest you use this to check out your systems both before and after installing 'this' and/or a 'Fire Wall' system software. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. ZONE ALARM. For various operating systems..
'Fire Wall' protection for your own computer systems. Free for personal use or Register for Businesses or other uses. Superb system and very very simple to setup and use. Also allows you to download latest versions as a normal file without automatic update feature. Now that's how it should be. Full control over active software with 'permissions' and 'queries' for both within system and over communications ports.
WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS ONE FOR EVERYONE. Other software available.
Just one thing. ZoneLabs are not a virus scanning company. They have informed me that they do not check reports of suspected virus/Trojan attacks. So, as far as I can see, they are only as good as the resources from which they update their 'firewall' program. Win95 NOT supported!

A superb/fast utility that allows you to see and remove unused registry entries, files etc. Also to remove those programs that refuse to remove entries when UN-installed. Fast and simple to use! Another great program from his stables.

ADD/REMOVE PRO.
ADD this to your Windows 95 or 98 system and get a proper visual display and control of those programs that have been installed. This program will show you what is installed correctly and what is not. Many features which also includes the ability to checks links, Remove programs with or with a 'Backup' facility (just in case you make a mistake). As with all Programs and Utilities, read the manual and make sure that you understand before you start. Simple to operate. Works superbly and recommended.
Removing entries from the registry will not decrease the size of the registry until the Registry is exported and rebuilt. WinRescue can perform this. It's process for doing this is called RegPack. WinRescue is Shareware.

This 'tiny' routine is packed with features and is simple to operate. Operates with Netscape, IE and Opera and allows multiple setup for various versions and browser use.

Make your Floppy and CDs 'AutoRun' on selection. Allows selection of a device to execute any 'Autorun.inf' created file. A simple (and effective) routine to enable you to add an 'Autorun.inf' file to the contents of your floppies and then execute like a 'Autorun' CD. A good way to develop your own sequences for CD creation without 'Blowing' a lot of CDs to test each application.

MEM TRAX vs 2 (428k)(Windows 95/98)
Here is a superb 'memory reclaim' program. This attempts to release memory correctly when Windows fails to do so after programs are exited. It has a Small Footprint, very simple to use and works very well indeed. It comes in two modules. The GUI version offers visual indicators of your memory information and allows you quick access to change settings. The mini 'Skin' display is discreet and attractive. The NON-GUI version has no interface and any settings will need to be either adjusted via the '.ini' file, or through the GUI Version. I have tested both 'Ram Booster' and 'CacheMan' and find that 'Mem Trax' operates very much better alround and gives a 'steady' control over the 'write buffer' when creating CDRs. I recommend it.
A helpful hint: Always remember, when creating CDRs, remove as many background operating programs. This ensures that memory and system resources are at their full availability and speed.

A tiny self executable program (no install needed) that sits on your system tray. You can, at any time, execute Explorer. Very handy indeed. I recommend this!

A FREE single/multi-thread File downloader. Easy to use with some nice options. It also allows 'continue' if connection fails, which you would expect from any good downloader. Simple to setup and operate. Allows file extension addition, allowing other formats to be included as part of the link detect process. Another good general utility.
